Zanzíbar es una isla situada en el Océano Índico, en Tanzania. Tiene unas dimensiones de 2.455 km² y una población de 1,3 millones de habitantes. La isla de Zanzíbar está formada por dos islas principales: Unguja, la isla más grande, y Pemba. La capital es Zanzíbar City, situada en la isla de Unguja. La isla de Zanzíbar es conocida por su historia, sus paisajes y sus playas. La isla fue habitada por los swahili, un grupo étnico de África Oriental, y fue el principal centro comercial de esclavos en el siglo XIX. Zanzíbar es un lugar perfecto para practicar el buceo, ya que tiene una gran variedad de arrecifes de coral.

- Go on a dolphin tour (=chasing tour)
- Feed prison island’s turtles

THINGS TO DO
Stone Town:
Spend at least 2 hours here. The architecture is beautiful and there’s lots of great shopping. The island locals are muslim, so you’ll need to cover up when walking around town.
Jozani Forest:
Take a short hike through the forest to spot the cute Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkeys.
Snorkeling:
There’s lots of amazing places to go snorkeling around the island. I went to the Blue Lagoon because it was at our local beach by the hotel. The water temperature is amazing and there were so many colourful fish amongst the reef.
WHERE TO STAY
We loved our 2 bedroom villa the_bali_resort_zanzibar, it was so quiet and peaceful and just a 5 minute walk to the beach.

kibuyuafricansafaris nous a réservé des hôtels absolument incroyables !
Nous avons testé deux hôtels à Jambiani. D’abord le mwezi_zanzibar et ensuite theloop_zanzibar . C’était absolument magnifique ! Au bord de l’océan, avec comme bruit de fond, le bruit des vagues.
Le plus dur dans ces deux séjours a été de choisir entre la piscine et la plage. 🤣

¿Qué vacunas hay que ponerse para ir a Zanzíbar?
Para viajar a Zanzíbar solo es obligatoria la vacuna contra la fiebre amarilla si vienes de un país donde la enfermedad es endémica. Se recomiendan hepatitis A, tétanos-difteria, fiebre tifoidea y, según el caso, hepatitis B o rabia. Además, se aconseja profilaxis contra la malaria y protección frente a mosquitos.
